WEEK 1 - SESSION 2

Theme: baseline technique

MAIN OBJECTIVE:
Technical improvement of your close game footwork

SECONDARY OBJECTIVE:
Technical serve (accuracy)

1 HOUR SESSION:
10’: Volleys in the service boxes without accelerating the ball or going wide. Keep control of the ball. All strokes should be done with balanced footwork.

10’: Volleys from the baseline down the middle of the court, with forehand and backhand (5 meter wide zone). Go around a target placed 75 cm from the baseline. Always adjust your footwork just before your opponent's stroke, before preparing your stroke.

10’: Volleys from the baseline along the diagonal (forehand/forehand for a right-handed player). Go around a target placed on the central point of the baseline after each stroke. Be careful to play slowly.

10’: Do the same exercise as the previous one, but across the other diagonal.

10’: Serve on both diagonals to a target (ball boxes, weights, etc.). Concentrate on projecting the racket in the desired direction.

10’: Free play. Play the point starting from the serve.
